Really no wonder that wins this game as Ohio State has won its past 41 against in-state opponents using the loss. The Buckeyes also have won something similar to 32 straight games played at noon ET. They are 16-point favorites at BetOnline. Ohio State retains a 14-2 advantage in the all time series.
But, we believe Cincinnati can keep this below the total of 55.5 although the over is a slight favorite. UC is coached by former Ohio State player/defensive coordinator/interim head trainer Luke Fickell. His defense closed down UCLA a week.
The Bruins have just one of their greatest minds in college football in Coach Chip Kelly, although I’m not about to compare UCLA into Ohio State. And they have a quarterback who is at least a reasonable facsimile of OSU’s Justin Fields at Dorian Thompson-Robinson. He was an ugly 8-for-26 for 156 yards with two picks a week (didn’t have 2 touchdowns).
This past year, Cincinnati led the Athletic Conference in total defense, scoring defense and rushing defense, completing No. 9 in the FBS in scoring defense. Ten of the 15 tacklers are back.
The defense performed well throughout although last week after a 28-0 lead, Ohio State’s offense got somewhat sloppy in a win over Florida Atlantic. Anticipate UC to use loads of running back Michael Warren II to consume the clock and maintain Fields & Co. off the field.

Saturday, 12 PM ET, Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina
The season of south Carolina is in trouble — weather could play a factor in this game depending on what Hurricane Dorian does. The danger of Hurricane Dorian led its campus to shut down . So that the soccer team is remaining in Charlotte, N.C., and commuting each day to USC’s campus in Columbia for training, scouting, game-planning, etc..
The Gamecocks were 24-20 champions in Charlotte at Week 1 to what was a poor North Carolina group this past year. Making things worse quarterback Jake Bentley was dropped forever to your foot injury. He has started 33 games on his USC career and was 16-for-30 for 142 yards with a TD and 2 selections from the loss to UNC. Freshman Ryan Hilinski’ll replaces him. He’s a well known recruit from California but has yet to take a searchable snap.
My figure is Coach Will Muschamp gets Hilinski out from there as soon as you can on Saturday since next week that the Gamecocks have their main home game of their SEC schedule with No. 2 Alabama in city. I will admit I don’t know a lot about Charleston Southern, but it managed just 13 points at FCS school Furman in a loss last week.

Saturday at Aloha Stadium at Halawa, Hawaii
Per usual when Hawaii is in the home, this can be the last match of the week using a before midnight Saturday. In addition, it has one of the highest levels on the board in 78.5. Makes a sense. Hawaii is a good team with a good quarterback in Cole McDonald.
The Rainbow Warriors were off last week, bothering visiting Arizona 45-38 in Week 0. You may recall Wildcats QB Khalil Tate was ceased at the as time expired. The Wildcats had 10 plays that went for 20 or more yards in the reduction. McDonald threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns. Pretty good, right? Yet he was pulled since he had been picked off four days. But, McDonald remains the starter of the team.
Oregon State, meanwhile, remains one of the Electricity 5 seminar teams on defense. This past year, the Beavers ranked 129th of 130 FBS schools in allowing 45.7 points per match (Hawaii not that much better in 35.4). Last week, the Beavers were blasted for 52 points at a home loss to Oklahoma State, which had been breaking in a new quarterback in freshman Spencer Sanders. He finished 79.2 percent of his cries and also the Pokes gained 555 yards of offense (7.3 yards per play). Consider what McDonald could do against that awful defense.
