Their Euro 2020 places are being booked by teams in the business end of the effort but with 24 sides place to perform across 12 host cities, how can the tournament work?
Even the 16th UEFA European Championship runs from June 12 to July 12, 2020, and also to celebrate the championships 60th birthday, 12 cities throughout the continent are chosen as hosts.
Stadiums and the 12 cities are:
Romes Stadio Olimpico will sponsor the opening match on June 12, although Englands national stadium Wembley will stage both semi-finals along with the final.
With all 55 teams getting involved in the eligibility process, no nation was granted an automated spot, as a consequence of the pan-European staging.
The campaign for next summers tournament kicked off in March 2019 and is set to conclude in March 2020.
The best two teams from each of these 10 teams will qualify for Euro 2020 – together with the group stage – whereas the four positions will be decided in the Nations League play-offs in March 2020.
The draw for the finals will take place in Bucharest, Romania on November 30 to be drawn into six groups of four.
At this point in Novemberthe four closing places – place to be determined in March 2020s play-offs – wont be known, but they will nevertheless be drawn to some group.
The 24 qualifiers will probably soon be divided into six groups
Play-off winners will hence be in the seeding pot.
Each stadium will host.
