After affirming that he requires surgery on his right elbow, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been mastered by the Pittsburgh Steelers out for the remainder of the year.
37, roethlisberger, sustained the injury while attempting a move at the second quarter of Sunday’s 28-26 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks at home.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin stated:”Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening and it was decided by the Steelers’ medical staff that operation will be required.
“We hope the operation will probably be scheduled for this week. He’ll be put on our Reserve/Injured List and is out for the year ”
The Steelers are 0-2 to start the season for just the second time in Roethlisberger’s 16-year livelihood.
A third-round choice at the 2018 draft, mason Rudolph, entered the game with Roethlisberger damage and completed 12 of 19 passes for 112 yards with one interception and two touchdowns.
Rudolph becomes the starter to the Steelers, who perform with the San Francisco 49ers this past week.
