After being knocked unconscious pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph has been helped off the field during Sundays loss to the visiting Baltimore Ravens.
In 7:26 of the quarter in Heinz Field, Rudolph completed a move to James Washington and then scrambled to his left , afterward was sandwiched Earl Thomas in front and by Ravens defenders Brandon Carr from supporting.
It appeared Thomas hit Rudolph large, in head region or his chin. Thomas received a penalty.
Rudolph seemed to lose consciousness hitting his head and falling to the turf without hammering himself.
He stayed motionless for several moments as team-mates and the coaching team crowded round him.
Trainers pulled a cart out and stretcher removed the facemask of Rudolphs helmet, as he walked away from the area that has a fantastic deal of support, but neither was used.
The Steelers reported Rudolph wouldnt return to the game and had a concussion. He had been originally evaluated at Heinz Field proceeded into some hospital.
ESPNs Adam Schefter reported Sunday night that Rudolph was permitted to return home to break. He will be in the NFLs concussion protocol.
Rudolph, that has been playing since Ben Roethlisberger had knee operation, was substituted by Devlin Hodges.
