Scott McTominay considers each European Qualifier is a cup before Scotland’s fixtures against Russia and Belgium this past week.

He said:”You just need to take every game as a cup final, and it’s extremely important for all of us to continue building on the progress we’ve shown under the new gaffer and I feel like it has two major games where you can look at it in two unique manners.
“It’s a must-win and it’s undoubtedly a must-not lose too, so I feel as if you must take responsibility on the pitch first of all.
“We are not going to settle for something less than individuals having a right move, but of course that’s up to the supervisor and the coaching staff with the way they put us up along with the various ways which they would like to approach the match.”
McTominay states that players have started to adopt the modifications Clarke has made at the helm, along with his effect is one he’s currently looking forward to.
He added:”It’s incredibly important for all of us to keep building on the progress we have shown under the new gaffer.
“All of the players have completely bought in to everything that he’s saying, and all his ways on and off the pitch are all somewhat different and it’s always really positive to have someone of that magnitude handling the national group and it is thrilling.”
Says he plans to continue advancing for the club and country, in addition to preserving that results for United so far have not been what the group have deserved.
“For me personally I have just been concentrating on enjoying as much soccer as I possibly can, and studying as far as I could from the coaching team, both at my parent team and at Scotland too,” McTominay explained.
“It’s exciting times for me personally but it’s about keeping a level head and needing to keep progressing at the way that you’re going.”
He continued:”I feel as though we’ve been unfortunate with a few of the outcomes that we have had, and obviously I’m now aware I’m a global plus they are the games that I’m solely focused on in this instant in time.
“However, at club level we’ve been unlucky with a couple of choices and a few ways that the outcomes of the games have gone, but as I mention it is important for all of us to get off to a flying start using Scotland as well.”
