Caroline Hedwall will create a Solheim Cup return for Team Europe six years on from developing a milestone in the history of the tournament.
The 30-year-old was part of the final Solheim Cup success of Europe in 2013, a record-breaking 18-10 success in Colorado, in which she created her own milestone.
Hedwall became the first player in the history of the event, on each team, to acquire all five of her games, helping Europe to retain the trophy in solid style.
The Swede teamed up with compatriot Anna Nordqvist in the two sessions of foursomes, beating Jessica Korda 2 and Morgan Pressel & 1 on Saturday morning and watching Stacy Lewis and Lizette Salas 4 & 2 in the opening game of this week off.
Hedwall’s partner changed to Caroline Masson for the fourballs, where they won both of their fixtures 1 & 2 to assist Europe in carrying a edge.
Better was to come in the Sunday singles, in which ensure the decoration would return back to European land and then also Hedwall made a four-birdie at the last to assert a success.
