World Rugby is ongoing to track a typhoon which could sabotage the pool of Sunday games in the Rugby World Cup.
When four World Cup pool games are due to be played, hit Tokyo on Sunday and typhoon Hagibis is forecast to gain in power with.
Is the vital match between Japan and Scotland at Yokohama, only 20 miles from the capital.
A statement released by World Rugby stated:Public and staff safety is the number one priority. While we have strong contingency plans in place for pool games, such plans, if needed, will only be actioned when the protection of teams, fans, and workforce can be ensured.
These contingency strategies include changing the venue of the game – for example until game-day – to Kobes indoor arena. If this happened, the game could be played obtaining a full refund.
Matches cannot be rescheduled if theyre called off on the day of the game. Any fittings cancelled at the World Cup because of weather issues would be listed as scoreless draws, with each group.
In the tournament, World Rugby declared its own contingency plans were in place when USA vs France in Fukuoka threatened. The storm, but lost strength and the game went as proposed.
