NBA players should play a more strenuous sport than baseball players. They will need to take off two nights to rest up or whatever while the ice never sleeps in puck entire world.
We just have one match online card tonight and that’s swell because I remain amazing at NHL betting. I took the Las Vegans -1/2 target (+155) to win the first time last night and it was easy money with Jonathan Marchessault scoring just 20 minutes to the frame.
I’m now 25-19-3 in the NHL playoffs, which will be good for a gain of $646 if you are betting $100 each game. That is pretty solid considering I’m betting virtually every match here.
If you’re seeking the simplest strategy for winning cash in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, then it seems to be this: take underdogs straight up if you prefer your dog and take favorites on the 1.5-goal puckline if you prefer your favorite.
Dogs are 34-39 for a gain of $978 and faves are 25-48 on the puckline (-1.5 goals) to get a profit of $414. Those losing records may appear strange but remember — it’s all about the chances, not the records. You need to win fewer games at plus-money odds to make a hold.
OK, let’s move on to tonight’s match…
Lightning At Capitals -117, 6
These teams are really starting to hate the hell out of each other. The past couple of games in this series are so nasty it’ll make you wince only watching.
I was thinking we would see some UNDER worth in this series because I understood the Lightning would tighten up on defense and they did in Game 3. However, when two teams begin to despise each other this much, you can’t stop the parade to the penalty box.
These are just two teams with powerful power plays and not-so-strong penalty-killing units. We’ve seen at least seven power plays in each game this show and these teams are a joint 8-for-22 on these.
One thing to keep a careful watch on is Steve Stamkos, who is questionable with a face accident. He’s a massive element in this game. I am stumped here, I gotta admit. But I want a pick, sooo… I’m going with the Caps and expecting to get an empty-netter. We have seen a 32 of these playoffs.
